What did Khufu establish the pharaoh as? He established the pharaoh as the central authority.
What are the four things Khufu, Senuesret, and Ramses 2 built? The Great Pyramid of Giza, The White Chapel, Dayr-al- Bahri, and Abu Simbel
What is the Middle Kingdom known as? The Period of Reunification
How long did the Middle Kingdom last? 200 years
How long did the Old Kingdom last? 500 years
What is the New Kingdom known as? The Golden Age
What is Ramses known for? Known as a military leader, master builder, and a fearless solider
What was Senuesret known for? He was known for being the patron of the arts.
How old was Ramses when he was the captain of the Egyptian army? 10 years old
What else was Ramses known as? He was also known as a peacemaker. He and the Hittites signed the world's first peace treaty.
What was the White Chapel made of? Alabaster (probably hard to come by in Egypt)
Why was the White Chapel built? It was built to honor Senuesret.
When did Senuesret rule? He ruled in the Middle Kingdom.
When did Khufu rule? He ruled in the Old Kingdom.
When did Hatshepsut rule? She ruled in the New Kingdom.
When did Rameses rule? He ruled in the New Kingdom.
How long did it take to build The Great Pyramid of Giza? It took about 20 years to complete.
Define Obelisk. An obelisk is a tall thin monument (Hatshepsut Dayr-al-Bahri obelisk)
Why was the expedition to Punt so important? It was so important because over 200 men in five ships brought gifts and trade goods.
What did Ramses build? A temple complex at Abu Simbel.
What does C. E. mean? Common Era
Define Pharaoh. A pharaoh is a ruler of Ancient Egypt.
