What is Prehistory. The time before there was writing. Writing was not invented until 5,000 years ago.
Define Hominid. The early ancestor of humans.
Define Ancestor. A relative that lived in the past.
Define tool. A handheld object that helps get a task done.
Define Society. People that share similar culture's in the same place.
What do you conclude ancient bones can tell us about our human ancestors? They can tell you how big there brain was how they walked and the types of tools they needed to help them with there bones and if they can carry stuff.
When was the Paleolithic Era? What was the main characteristics of the Paleolithic Era? The first part of the old stone age. It lasted for about 10,000 years. People used stone tools in this time.
Summarize how tools improved during the Old stone age. When they learned how to attach a wooden handle that helped attack at a far. Added sharp edges.
Contrast how Homo Erectus was different from Homo Habilis. Homo Habilis means handy man Homo erectus means upright man. Homo habilis used early stone tools for chopping and scraping. Homo Erectus used early stone tools like the hand ax.
Define what a hunter-gatherer is? People who hunt animals or gather seeds and berry's to survive.
The Early humans were hunter-gatherers. Compare the role of women and mean during this time. How are they similar? The women gathered seeds and berries while the men hunted for food.They both went out of the house to look for food.
Contrast the role of women and men during this time. How do They differ? The men hunted the food and the women searched for seeds and berries.
