What is the earliest part of the Stone Age called? The Peleolithic or Old Stone Age. Paleolithic means "old stone" in the Greek language
When did Paleolithic times begin and end? They began around 2.5 million years ago and lasted until around 8000 BC
What was the later part of the Stone Age called? The Neolithic or New Stone Age.
When did the Neolithic times begin and end? They began about 8000 BC and lasted until around 4000 BC
Description of art and crafts from the Paleolithic times. Painted cave walls. Usually painted animals.
How humans obtained food during the Paleolithic times. Hunted animals and gathered nuts, berries, and grains.
How humans adapted during the Paleolithic times. Learned to make fire, created a language, and made simple tools (out of stone) and shelters.
Work or women and men during the Paleolithic times. Women gathered food and cared for children. Men hunted.

How humans obtained food during the Neolithic times. People began to farm in permanent villages. They continued to raise and herd animals.

What revolutionary change took place during the Neolithic Age? Farming, which led to steady food supplies. This meant healthy, growing populations meaning there were more workers to produce bigger crops. Having more food than they needed led to the development of trade.
