ideologies a set of conscious and unconscious ideas that constitute ones goals, expectations and actions.
Socialization Process of social interaction through which individuals acquire a self-identity and the physical mental, and social skills needs for survival in society.
Opinion leaders-agent any person who for any reason has more than usual influence on the views of other
mass media-agent a large influence on the formation of self identity
Ethnocentrism judging another culture by the values and standards of ones own culture
Multiculturalism ideologies or policies that promote diversity and focus on interaction and communication between different cultures.
Cultural diversity- different cultures respect for each others differences. Respect needs to be included in all facets of culture including language, dress, traditions, and customs
Manifestations of diversity differences clear to the eye
Racial diversity the belief that one racial group is naturally superior to another
religious diversity cultures are often defined by their religion
ethic diversity a socially defined category of people who identify with each other based on a perceived shared social experince or ancestry
