Achilles the greates greek warrior in the Trojan War and hero of Homer's Iliad. He killed Hector and was killed when Paris wounded him in the heel, his one vulnerable spot, with an arrow.
Agamemnon The king of of Mycenae, a son of Atreus and brother of menelaus. He led the Greeks in the Trojan War and was murdered by Cytemnesta, his wife, upon his return from Troy.
Alexander the Great-King of Macedonia(356-323 B.C.) conquer Persia and Egypt and invaded Inia; spread Hellenism.
Archimedes-(born 290 B.C.) Greek inventor and mathematcian; invented the fomulas of surface area and volume of a sphere.
Aristotle-(384-322 B.C.) Greek philosopher who was a student of Plato and became a famous teahcer; wrote about and taught logic, politics, science, and poetry; his works became the basis for medieval church scholarship.
Hector The eldest son of Priam and husband of Andromache: the greates Trojnd hero in the Tojan War, killed by Achilles.
Homer-(c. 800 B.C.) Greek poet; credited with composing the epics the Lliad and Odyssey.
Helen The beautiful daugher of Zeus and Leda, whose abduction by Paris from her husband Menelaus caused the Trojoan War.
