Region

TermDefinition
Functional Region is a type of region that is characterized by its function such as a drainage basin, city-region, or a metropolitan area.
Perceptual Region is an area or location which people believe exists as a section of their cultural identity
Formal Region is typically defined by a government or administrative group for the purpose of defining boundaries
Physical Characteristics The study of the natural features of the earth's surface, especially in its current aspects, including land formation, climate, currents, and distribution of flora and fauna. Also called physiography.
Human Characteristics the study of the interaction between human beings and their environment in particular places and across spatial areas.
Boundaries Something that indicates a border or limit
Unifying To make into or become a unit; consolidate.
