Chapter 4 Abraham

From whose descendants did Abraham come from? Abraham came from the descendants of Shem.
What did God call Abraham to do? God told Abraham to leave his home, relatives and wonder the earth until God said stop.
What did Abrham, Sarai and Lot do? They followed God's words.
How was Abram obedient to God? Abram was obedient to God because he walked the land until God said stop.
What did god tell Abram that he would make with him and his descendants? God promised Abram a covenant between him and Abram's descendants
What was the promise of the covenant? The promise of the covenant was that Abram would be the Father of all Nations
Why did God change Abram's name? Because God made him the father of many people
What did God change Abram's name to? Abraham
What did God change Sarai's name to? Sarah which means princess
What is a covenant? A covenant is an agreement
What would God do as his part of the covenant? God would watch over Abraham's descendants and give them the land of Canaan as his part of the covenant.
What did Abraham and his descendants do as their part of the covenant? They would keep themselves apart from others and do special things as sign that they were dedicated to God.
For what was God preparing them? God was preparing Abraham and his descendants for the birth of Jesus.
What was Abraham and Sarah's son name? Isaac
What did God ask Abraham to do as a test? God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son.
What stopped Abraham from sacrificing his son? An angel stopped Abraham from sacrificing his only son.
What did Abraham sacrifice instead of his son? a ram
