PLANTAR FLEXION To bend the bottom of the foot (breaking the speed limit)
ROTATION To move from one side to the other in a continuous movement with out stopping
SINUS OR ANTRUM A cavity within a bone
PRONATION Palm down (spilling bowl of soup)
CREST A ridge
CIRCUMDUCTION A combination of abduction, adduction, extension, and flexion
HEAD A rounded articulating process at the end of a bone
TUBERCLE A small, rounded process
RETRACTION To retreat, move posteriorly
OPPOSITION Occurs when the thumb crosses the palm and touches the pinky
FORAMEN A hole
SPINE A sharp, slender projection (thorn)
LINE A less prominence ridge of a bone at a crest
SUPINATION To turn palm up (carrying a bowl of “soup”)
DORSIFLEXION To bend the foot upward (here comes the cops)
FOSSA A depression or hollow
TROCHANTER A large process for muscle attachment
PROCESS A bone prominence or projection
ELEVATION To move upward
DEVIATION To wander from the usual course
