Alliance A formal agreement

Dollar Diplomacy A policy where if the U.S. gave money to other countries, they would have some control over that country's actions
Neutral Take no sides in an argument
Military Draft A way of making the people of a nation join its armed forces
No-man's-land The area not controlled by either side in an argument
Communism A political and economic system in which all industries, land and businesses are owned by the government
Isolation The policy of remaining separate from other countries
Labor Union A group of workers who join together to make their working conditions better
Strike The stopping of work or to protest poor working conditions
