Section 1 Vocab

QuestionAnswer
Boycott To refuse to buy something, or refuse to deal with a person, business or country.
Violate To break a law, rule, or promise.
Declaration of Independence A document signed by the colonists that declared freedom from Great Britain.
Consent To agree to something.
American Revolution The war the colonists fought with Great Britain.
Quarter To provide soldiers with a place to live and food.
Minutemen Colonial soldiers in the Revolutionary War who were ready to fight at any time.
Repeal To do away with a law.
Complaint A statement that tells why a person is unhappy.
Colonist A person who settles in a new place.
