Why is Jerusalem special to Christians? It is the place where Jesus was crucified and ascended into heaven.
Why is Jerusalem special to Muslims? It was then place where Muhammed ascended into heaven.
Why is Jerusalem special to Jews? It is the site of the ancient temple built by Solomon.
What year did Arabs take control of Jerusalem? 600 A.D.
Could Christians and Jews visit the city? Yes.
Could they live in the city? Yes, if they paid taxes.
What year did Seljuk Turks take control of the city? 1095.
What did Pope Urban II do? He called for a crusade.
How many people went to fight? 30,000.
What would happen to the people after they fought? They would automatically go to heaven.
