Anti-Semitism The hatred of Jews.
Holocaust The killing of 6 million Jews .
Colonization Starting civilization in another country.
Civil War War between one country.
Ottoman Empire An empire that is now named the Middle East.
Nationalism Having pride in ones country.
Independence Not being under any rule; having ones own country.
Chiang-Kai Shek A nationalist is a follower of Chiang-Kai Shek who believes for independence for their country.
Mao Zedong A leader that strongly believed in communism.
Kuommintang Old communist party before the CCP.
Communism A type of government in which the people have very few political freedoms.
Great Leap Foward A plan to reorganize China along all communist lines of connective ownership of farms and factories.
Cultural Revolution A revolution or change that has ties to old ideas, manners, and customs.
Tianamen Square A demonstration that the people wanted to be democratic.
