| Great Leap Foward | A plan to reorganize China along all communist lines of connective ownership of farms and factories. |
| Cultural Revolution | A revolution or change that has ties to old ideas, manners, and customs. |
| Tianamen Square | A demonstration that the people wanted to be democratic. |
