Civil War War persecutting many and leaving a result of many refugees.
Ottoman Empire Empire that was split up due to loss of war and was given away to the now existing countries.
Nationalism Pride in one's country.
Independence Having the power of your own country without the rules of another country trying to control your people.
Chiang kai-shek Leader of now today China. Formed the republic of china.
Mao Zedong leader of China who led the Great Leap Forward,and Cultural revolution and kept the government communist. Chinese communist leader responsible for the disastrous policies.(commonly referred to as Chairman Mao).
Krummtang leader of China
Communism Strict government under which no citizens have no real rights.
Great Leap Forward Jump to Famine and mortality in China‎. An attempt to modernize the economy.
Cultural Revolution Movement to enforce Mao's authority, and his beliefs which turned out to be a turn around with everyone against each other.
Tiananmen Square Chinese troops fired on the protesters in Tiananmen Square, killing more than 200 and later arresting anyone thought to be involved in China's pro-democracy movement.
