Zionism The Jewish movement to return to their homeland.
Anti-semitism The hattred towards Jews.
Holocaust The attempted genocide of jews during WWII.
Colonization Taking over land to exploite its resources for power and money.
Civil War War between diffrent groups in one country.
Ottoman Empire Large Empire that ruled up until the end of WWI.
Nationalism Having pride in ones country. Loyalty to ones country.
Independence Free from other coutries rule.
Chang Kai-shek Leader in China that faught for Nationalism.
Mao Zedong Leader of the CCP that lead China towards communism.
Kumintang Original communist party in China before the CCP.
Communism A form of government were the central government has all the power and little power is given to the people.
Great Leap Forward An experiment to help increase China's production and improve the economy.
Cultural Revolution A project to eliminate the four olds(old customs,old ideas,old beliefs,and old traditions)and get the younger generation to believe in communism.
Tianamen Square A protest against communism, were students were attacked by military troops. Many students were kiled and many others arrested.
