Zionism The movement to get jews their own homeland.
Anti-semitism The hatred and persicution of Jews.

Civil War
Ottoman Empire Very big empire before WWII that turned out to be too big to control, so they seperated it after WWII was over
Notionalism having pride in your country, risking everything you have to protect your country
Independence When everyone can vote, and have basic rights
Chang Kai-shek Chineese nationalist that wanted democracy in china.
Mao Zedong leader of the CCP, wanted to unite the chineese people under communis, led the great leap forwards, and the cultural revolution.
Communism When a government takes over the country; their in charge of where you live, what you produce, and even what you can and cant do/see
Great leap Forward reorganize all of china along communist lines of collective ownership of factories and farms
Cultural Revolution make war on anything that was encouraging class differences; organized red guard to single out and remove people who were not "on board"
