Zionism Belief that all Jews should return to their homeland (Israel).
Anti-semitism Hate against Jews.
Holocaust Event that killed millions of Jews in WW2. Lead by Hitler.
Colonization To take over other countries and send your people and soldiers to live and control that country.
Civil War War aginst two different sides of one country.
Ottoman Empire Empire that controlled 1/4 of all area in the Middle East. Ended after WW1.
Nationalism Love for one's country.
Independence To be free from another country that use to control you.
Chiang Kai-Shek Leader of the Nationalists in China in the 50's and 60's.
Mao Zedong Communist leader of China in the 50's and 60's.
Kuomintang Nationalist party in China in the 50's and 60's.
Communism Type of government that gives no freedoms. Everybody is paid the same amount of money for every job.
Great Leap Forward Attempt to get China to boost up its economy by making communes. Lead by Mao Zedong.
Cultural Revolution Attempt to get rid of all old influence in China by using the Red Guard. Lead by Mao Zedong.
Tiananmen Square Incident that killed millions of protesting students in China, the ones that weren't killed, were arrested
