thermometer an instrument used for measuring temperature
Copernican Theory sun was the center of the solar system- heliocentric

what were some conflicts with the church during the scientific revolution (3) -church didn't want to be proven wrong -went against the bible -church didn't want to change (stick to tradition)
Galileo -perfected the telescope -wanted to be a monk but instead was a doctor -proved the copernican theory
Copernican -using observations and mathematics he discovered the heliocentric theory -wrote a book on his ideas that convinced very few people
Newton -discovered gravity -law of gravity: all objects have a force of attraction between them, but the strength of te force depends on the mass of the object
