| Addison's disease | Condition caused by hyposecretion of adrenocortical hormone (cortisol); increased pigmentation of the skin, weakness, and weight loss may occur. INDICATION |
| Adenocarcinoma | Cancerous tumor in an endocrine gland that is able to produce the hormones secreted by that gland; a causee of some hypersecretion pathologies. GENERAL CONTRAINDICATION |
| Cushing's syndrome | Condition that results from hypersecretion of cortisol in the adrenal cortex. INDICATION |
| Diabetes insipidus (DI) | Disorder caused by inadequate secretion of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) by the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland. CAUTION |
| Diabetes mellitus (DM) | Chronic disorder of carbohydrate metabolism in whcih the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or the body does not peoperly use the hormone, resulting in hyperglycemia and glycosuria. CAUTION |

| Hypothyroidism | Condition caused by deficient thyroid gland secretions of thyroid homrones T3 AND T4 resulting in lowered basal metabolism rate, dry skin, slow pulse, low blood, sluggishness, and goiter. INDICATION |
| Myxedem | Condition resulting from hyposecretion of thyroid homrones T3 AND T4 in the thyroid gland. INDICATION |
| Thyrotoxicosis | Overproduction of the thyroid hormones T3 AND T4 in the thyroid gland resulting in rapid heart action, tremors, enlarged thyroid gland, exophthalmos, and weight loss. INDICATION |
