Realism the tendency to view or represent things as they really are.
Charles Dickens English writer and social critic. He created some of the world's most memorable fictional characters.
Leo Tolstoy a Russian writer who primarily wrote novels and short stories.
Henrik Ibsen a major 19th-century Norwegian playwright, theatre director, and poet.
Impressionism a style of painting developed in the last third of the 19th century.
