Communism An ecomomic system in which all means of production are owned by the people; private property does not exist and all goods and services are shared equally
Militarism The build-up of a nation's armed forces (a policy of glorifying military power and keeping a standing army always ready for war.)
Nationalism The belief that people should be loyal mainly to their nation rather than to a king or empire
Imperialism A policy in which a strong nation seeks to dominate other countries politically, economicaly, or socially
Rationing Limiting of the amount of goods people can buy
Fourteen Points President Woodrow Wilson's fourteen goals for the United States in the peace negotiations after World War I
Propaganda information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.
Total War a war in which every available weapon is used and the nation's full financial resources are devoted
