Cross-Cultural Exchanges on the silk roads.

Xiongnu -The Xiongnu were ancient nomadic-based people that formed a state or confederation.
Silk Road -Overland trade routes. -Historians refer to these routes as the silk roads because high quality silk from China was very frequent to be traded on the routes.
Sasanid Empire -Characterized by considerable centralization, ambitious urban planning, agricultural development, and technological improvements.
Edict of Milan -Granted by Constantine. - Allowed Christianity in the Roman Empire.
Han Wudi -The most important ruler of the Han Dynasty.
Nestorian Christianity Nestorianism is the Christian doctrine that Jesus existed as two persons, the man Jesus and the divine Son of God
Diocletian -A Rome Emperor (Before Constantine). -Persecuted the church.
Monsoon System -Ptolemaic Egyptians learned about the monsoon winds that governed sailing and shipping in the Indian Ocean.
Manichaeism -A religion that originating in Sassanid era Babylonia. Founded by Mani (Aka Prophet of Light)
Constantine -Emperor of Rome. -United Rome and made the Capital: Constantinople.
Dualism -The belief that the mind and body are not the same.
Tetrarchs -Any form of government where power is divided among four individuals
