Persian Empires located in contemporary Iran, there were four major dynasties
Achaemenid Empire (558-330) Medes and Persians migrated from Central Asia before 1000 B.C.E. (indo-europeans); Focused on weakening Assyrian and Babylonian empires and the dynasty was founded by Cyrus (r. 558-530 B.C.E), but the peak was under Darius (r. 521-486 B.C.E)
Darius Achaemenid Empire peaked under him; he ruled form Indus to Aegean whose capitol was Persepolis
