The Silk Road A trade route connecting China and the Middle East to Europe. It started in Chang'an, China because silk was made in China and other countries valued silk highly. The Silk Road helped spread culture, religion and plants. It worked merchant-to-merchant.
Caste System Indian form of hierarchy created by the Aryans. Created due to skin colors or varnas. Caste determines where live, what eat, and who marry. It was banned in 1950 but many still use it. Strictest caste rules are at the top. Cant change status in this life.
Hinduism - basis A complex religion. Created by Aryans. Includes many different gods. The main goal of hinduism is to achieve moksha with brahman
Aryans nomadic settlers from central asia / indus valley
Brahman all powerful spiritual force that resides in all living things.
Brahma hindu god "the creator"
Vishnu hindu god "the preserver"
Shiva hindu god "the destroyer
