| Agrarian | Generally means support. In world hostory it means the cultivation of land. |
| Communal | Sharing; when people lived in villages they shared everything. Such as the food they hunted or gathered. |
| Filial | A parent child type relationship. Filial piety is when a child has a type of reverance to the father or mother. (Ex:Mulan when they pray to their ancestors.) |
| Monarchy | A type of government that has one head man.An example of a monarchy is King or Queen such as King Louis the 14th |
| Pastoral | The Kepping or grazing of sheep or cattle. So this is like herding. |
| Subsistence | Maintaining life at a minimum level. Doing the minumum to keep yourself alive. Subsistence farming only growing enough for your family. Ex; Buddah was ascetic and only ate enough to survive to show devotion to god. |
| Archeology | Studying the history of humans and cultures. Ap World history is an archeology class. |
| Edifice | A big structure or building. Example; pyramid. |
| Incarnation | A god in human form. Example: Jesus was a incarnation of God. |
| Nomadic | Being mobile. The hunter and gatherers were nomadic because wherever the food went they followed. |
| Patriarch | A man is the head of the house. |
| Venerate | To regard with respect. This is like the word Filial also. |
| The Hanseatic League | A well developed trade network. Aka:The Hansa. Some areas involved in the Hansa are the Baltic sea region and the North sea region. |
| Troubadours | A class of traveling poets, commonly known as minstrels. These poets were most common in Southern France and northen Italy. Their poems and songs mainly focused on love. |
| Bogomils and Carthers | These people believe that the world is a relentless, cosmic war between good and evil. |
| Crusade | A holy war. The word crusade derives from the latin word 'crux' which means cross. A cross as in how the roman people killed Jesus. |

| The Normans | The founders of the English monarchy. |
| Sacraments | Holy rituals that bring spiritual blessings on the observants. the Roman Catholic church recognized 7 sacrements: baptism, Matrimony, penance, and the eucharist. |
