Mass producing led to an increase in the way people lived, what was this called? Increase in standard of living
What led to the decline in the cottage industry? Machines. During the cottage industry clothing was high quality and low quanity, after machines started making clothes it was high quantity low quality. machines were taking the place of the clothing makers and making clothes alot faster.
What was the reason of the decrease in infant mortality deaths? The food surplus brought the price of food to an afforable price for the parents to buy the infants food, and there were facotorie jobs avalible
What were some of the factory conditions some of the factoryt conditions were dirty, damp, hot, stuffy,no windows, crowded, child and women labor, ect. some of the benefits are mass production and increase in standard living
why were women and children chosen over men to work in the factories their hands were much smaller and were able to fix machines easier, they didnt have to pay women and children as much as they had to pay men.
What did urbanization cause in great britain? Tenements, Factories, women and child labor, ect.
what is a union? a union was a group of workers that came together that didnt agree with the factories, if you wwere caught in a union you were punished or sent away to australia, unions were illegal
being sent to australia or hung for being caught participating in the union is what law combination law

where was the buissness district located? It was located in the middle of the city, filled with shops such as doctors offices, book stores, police, grocery ect. it was also very dirty.
What were the tenements? The tenements were where the factory workers lived, they werent very far from the factories so they could walk to work,
what were the tenement conditions They were very dirt, there were 30-40 people in 1 apartment, no electricity, or plumbing, it was a fire hazard, very small and pollution was common.

what was the rise of suburbanization? the rise of suburbanization was when the factories were started and the tenements were built and the rich people needed somwhere to live outside of the city so they built neighboors hoods outside of the city that they could live in.
Suburbanization conditions were what? They were very clean, and had non polluted air, green grass, andd trees, blue skys. there was no smoke for the factories in sight, they were beautiful little neighboor hoods
what were some positive consequences of the industrial revolution? many machines were invented helping production rate speed up
what were negative consequences of the industral revolution? People lost jobs due to the factories high quality low quantity was changed to low quality high quantity
what were some of the mass production consequences? good concequences; mass production lead to an increase in the way people lived, faster production of goods.
