What are 3 major advancements that took place during the Agricultural Rev'n? Invention of farm machinery, improved breeding practices of livestock, and crop rotation.
What movement took place when capitalists purchased small farms and turned them into mass producing farms? The Enclosure Movement
When capitalists bought farmsn from farmers, the farmers had no where to live, causing this. Rural-to-Urban Migration
This event in the mid-1700s marked the decline in the need for hand (muscle) power and increased the demand for machine power, thus creating factories. The Industrial Revolution

What were some of the consequences of mass production? Machines take the job of farmers since machines work more quickly, there could be a surplus of that mass produced item, and the price of the item goes down since there is a surplus of it.
Because there was a surplus of certain items, more people could afford those items causing their what to increase? Increase Standard of Living
With the inovation of machines, quantity over quality was indroduced. This caused a decline in what industry? Decline of the Cottage Industry.
What were the conditions of factories? Dirty, hot, damp, stuffy, no windows, crowded, busy, smelly, child labor, women labor, and unsafe.
Because operating a machine required no skill, factory owners labored who? Women and Child Labor.
What is the growth of cities? Urbanization
Laborers didn't get paid or treated well, causing the rise in what group to protect laborers and fight for their wants? Rise of Unions

What were some of the tenements' conditions? Dirty, polluted, over crowded, small, no electricity, no plumbing, disease, fire hazards, and rats.

Mass production, raised standard of living, people that ccouldn't afford things can afford most things now, improved planting technology, crop rotation, improved breeding, faster production, less manuel labor, and introduced suburban areas. Positive consequences of the Industrial Revolution.
Skilled workers lose jobs, decline in the cottage industry, farmers must move to urban cities looking for work, and bad living conditions for the poor that work for factories. Negative consequences of the Industrial Revolution.
