what does mass production mean? it means factories producing the same product over and over again.
what did the start of mass production cause? it caused for the cottage industry to decline.
what did the decline of the cottage industry cause? it caused lots of people to lose their jobs and made them go to cities to find jobs.
what were the reason for the decline of infant mortality deaths? the incubater was invented
why were women and children hired more often than men? because they were smaller and could fit in smaller places.
what is urbanization? urbanization is the groth of citites.
what was an effect of the rise of unions? people who lost jobs due to industrialization, joined illeagal job unions and went and destroyed factories.
what was the combination laws? it stopped the british people from making labor unions.
whats the difference between women and children wages and men wages? men get paid more than women and children.
where ws the business district? the business districts were usually located between the suburbs and the cities tenement buildings.
what were tenaments? tenaments are poor appartment buildings that the factory workers usually lived in.
what were the tenement buildings conditions? the roads by them were covered in feces, every appartment only had one window, and they had rats and diseases around.
who lived in the suburbs of the city? the middle class, and the wealthy lived in the suburbs.
what were the conditions of the suburbs? the had electricity, the were clean, and they were clean.
what are positive consequences of the IR? items were made more efficiantlly.
what are negative consequences of the IR? it put many people out of jobs.
