Which 3 major advancements tok place during the Aricultural Revolution? Crop rotation, invention of farm machinery, improved mass breeding practice of live stock

How did Rural-to-Urban migration occur? occurred because of the growth of factory work
what are the 3 factors of production? Land, Labor, Capital
Why did they only hire Women & Children to work in the factories? Because the men asked for to much money
What were the cities like? They were dirty, the air was polluted from the factories smoke there were also filled with disease
What were the Tenement building conditions? There was only one window in each living area, there was one stair case down the middle, and they fit around 30-40 people in one area.
What was the business district like? The air was polluted, the streets were filled with feces, their were rats & disease
What are some of the resources of land from the factors of production? Water ways, coal, lumber, roadways, railways
What are some of the resources of labor from the factors of production? Man power, ships, markets, factories
What are some of the resources of capital from the factors of production? Money, Entrepreneurs, laissez-fair, ships
What type of enviornment was the Suburban area like? The Suburban area was clean, they had clean air & streets, the houses there usually were one family homes, the homes there were mansions
what type of enviorment was the urban area like? The Urban area was Farm land, The air was clean, Similar to the Suburban area
What were the Factory Conditions? The factories didnt have great conditions it was dirty but they had electricity when most places didnt have electricity.
What is the definition of Urban? City
What is the definition of Suburban? Outskirts of the city
What is the definition of Rural? The farming lands
What was The movment from cottage industry? The change from muscle power to machine power
If you lived in the suburbs what would your living condition be? Wealthy, good hygeine, electricity, Literacy
What was the combination law? prohibited trade unions and collective bargaining by British workers
