Why was this article written? To inform people that the U.S. is spending around $50 billion to cover the damage caused around the coastlines.
How can this article affect you personally? This article can affect me because the damage done affects the economy which affects how much income my family is getting and how much different items will cost because of inflation.
Where did hurricane Sandy damage? Hurricane Sandy damaged mostly aroud the east coast, but it also damaged places like New Jersey very horribly.
What was some of the damage done by this hurricane? This hurricane mostly damaged the shorelines, but it also damaged many houses, businesses, and also took out many power lines.
How much money will be spent from damage and why? It will cost around $50 billion to fix damage to the coastlines and to the homes and businesses that were damaged.
