Who defeated Eric Bloodaxe to become the first King of England? Eldred.
What is Common Law? Decisions judges wrote down and used as law. It was later followed with jury trials. It was put forth by Henry II

What happened in the First Crusade? The Christians took Jerusalem.
Describe the 2nd Crusade The Muslims retake Jerusalem. In 1147-1149 the Christians want it back. Muslims retake it back (they won)
Who are the Knights Templar? Knights who protected pilgrims and eventually became powerful in war and banking.
What happened in the Third Crusade? Richard I of England made a deal with Saladin's brother. Richard set them up for land. Richard promised he would stop trying to get Jerusalem but in return the Muslims couldn't continue fighting Christian Pilgrims.
Describe the 4th Crusade The Church was separated into two regions, the Christian Byzantine Empire and the Orthodox Italian Empire
Results of the Crusades The Pope lost power. There was an increase in trade There was a loss of Papal Prestige
What was Justinian known for? He brought Justice.
Who was Theodora? Justinian's wife
What did Prince Vladimir do? He saw how lifeless Russia was so he sent representative to other countries to come back with new religion or cultures. He saw the Hagia Sophia and wanted architecture like it in Russia.
Who was the "Dragon Slayer"? St. George.
Who did Russia get invaded by? The Mongols
How did knights behave in Medieval Europe They assaulted people, stole from people and killed them.
Who said "Two Roman empires fell, Russia is the third and there will be no more"? Ivan III (The Great)
Describe the Slavs. -no written language -polytheism -tribal -farmers, hunters etc.....
Who was the first Russian leader? Rurik
Who led the French to success in the Battle of Orleans? Joan of Arc.
Who had the long-bow in the Battle of Agincourt? The British
Who was accused of being a witch and was eventually executed later on? Joan of Ark
