What side of the Nile was considered the Land Of The Dead? The Western bank.
What are the two main geographical features in Egypt? The Nile and the Sahara Desert.
What religion were the Egyptians? They were Polytheistic.
What did the Egyptians invent that we still use today? The calendar.
Who were the kings of Egypt? Pharaohs.
Who was the best-known pharaoh? King Tut or Tutankhamen.
What were governments necessary to provide? Public order, supply services, merchants, and a constant supply of water.
What forms or government developed on Egypt? Monarchies, democracies, and dictatorship.
What were the ancient Egyptians preoccupied with? Religion and the afterlife.
How long did Egypt last? It lasted from 2700BC to 1000BC.
What were hieroglyphics? AN ancient form of writing that were made of pictures and symbols.
What was the Rosetta Stone? A massive stone block with the same paragraph in many different ancient languages.
What is in Eastern Africa? The Great Rift Valley, Nile River, Mount Kilimanjaro.
What is the longest river in the world? The Nile River.
What is the Sahara Desert the size of? The United States.
Why are the peoples skin in Sub-Saharan Africa darker? They have darker skin to help block out more of the sun's harmful rays.
