| Samsara | the beleif that life is a cycle, you get reborn higher and higher up until you become a brahmin, your karma gets carried with you when you get reborn |
| Karma | It was belived if you fufilled your Dharma, then you would be given good karma, karma follows you in other lifes, good or bad |

| Moksha | being at one with brahman |

| Ascetic/asceticism | Not warlike, were people who deticated their lives to complemlating ideas and situations, such as why are we here? they practice self denial and self mortification for religious and spiritual reasons |
| Upanishads | The books that the acetic's wrote, teaching |
| Jina/Jainism | jina is someone who has conquered himself and denied all temptations and pleasures and jainism is people who want to achieve that |
| Doctrine of Maybe | its basically saying that everything may be veiwed differently by everybody, i might see something differently than you |
| Jiva | there are jiva's in everything, they are like a soul, there are thousands in people and acestics concentrate on releasing the ones that represent things such as greed, in order to do this they take away all physical temptations |
