| Massage, Massage Therapy, Hawaiian Massage | any method of treatment of the superficial soft parts of the body,consisting of rubbing,stroking,tapotement,pressing,shaking,or kneading with the hands,feet,elbow,or arms,and whether or not aided by any mechanical or electrical appliances,oils, creams,etc |
| Massage Therapy Establishment | premises occupied and used for the purpose of practicing massage therapy or massage therapy training |
| Massage therapist | a person licensed to practice massage |
| Massage therapist apprentice | a person who has been issued a permit by the board to learn the practice of massage under the direct supervision of a sponsoring MT |
| Massage therapist student | any person who engages in the study or practice of massage therapy under direct supervision under a school setting |
| Out-call massage service | means any business which is to engage in or carry on the practice of massage not at a fixed location |
| Principal massage therapist | massage therapist designated by an establishment and an out-call massage service as person in charge |
| sponsoring massage therapist | massage therapist licensed in this state for at least 3 years, employed and registered with a licensed massage establishment, and registered with the board. |
