| adjective | a word added to (modifying) a noun to quantity or limit it. |
| adverb | a word added to (modifying) a verb, an adjective, or another adverb |
| annotating | the process of marking (e.g., incoming mail) to provide critical, important or explanatory notes. |
| apostrophe | a punctuation mark showing the absence of a letter or letters or possession |
| clause | part of a sentence with a subject and a predicate |
| compose | write, to form by putting together, creating. |
| conjunction | meeting; a word that connects |
| context | the part of a written or spoken statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and can clarify its meaning. |
