| Cellulits | Bacterial infection that causes redness, swelling, warmth, and pain |
| Pemphigus | Autoimmune disorder that causes sores or blisters in skin or mucous membranes |
| Psoriasis | Autoimmune disorder that causes T cells to attack skin cells and makes skin cells build up into rough, scaly, dry patches |
| Shingles | After someone has had chickenpox, the virus stays and can redevelop later in life |
| Basal Cell Carcinoma | Least malignant but most common skin cancer; White or pink waxy transparent lumps or brown scaly patches on face or neck |
| Malignant Melanoma | Fifth most common cancer in the US; Most dangerous due to being highly metastatic and resistant to chemotherapy; Develops from an overproduction of melanocytes usually starting from moles |
| Chicken Pox | Contagious virus that causes ulcers, red spots, blisters, and scabs |
| Eczema | Condition that makes your skin red and itchy; Thought to be linked to an over reactive immune system |
| Impetigo | Inflammatory skin bacterial infection that causes a weeping spot that dries to a distinct honey-colored crust; Red rashes, blisters; ulcers |
| Rubella | Contagious virus that causes fever, malaise, red rashes, eye redness, and a runny nose |
| Urticaria | Bacterial infection that causes hives (itchy, burning, and stinging) that appear anywhere on the body |
| Scabies | Microscopic mite burrows into upper layer of skin, where it lives and lays eggs; Causes intense itching and thin irregular burrow tracks of blisters and bumps |
| Impetiginized Eczema | Bacterial infection in someone with eczema that causes impetigo over regular rashes |
| First Degree Burn | Burning of epidermis that causes red skin, minor inflammation, and peeling skin as it heals |
| Measles | Bacterial infection that causes inflamed eyes, sore throat, and red blotchy rashes |
| Alopecia | Autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss in patches, the whole head, or the entire body |
| Third Degree Burn | Burning of epidermis, dermis, and tissue so muscle is exposed that causes dry and leathery skin and extreme swelling, though no pain because the nerve endings are destroyed |
| Squamous Cell Carcinoma | Second most common form of skin cancer that develops in the squamous cells and causes red nodules and flat sores with scaly crust |
| Lichen Sclerosis | Uncommon condition that creates patchy white skin in genitals and anal areas that appears thinner than normal |
| Napkin Dermatitis | (aka Diaper Rash) Caused by babies' limbs rubbing against over-hydrated skin that then forms a rash |
| Rosacea | Reaction to certain stimuli (like alcohol or cosmetic problems) that causes redness, visible blood vessels, small pus-filled bumps, enlarged nose |
| Warts | Viral infection that causes cells to rapidly grow on top layer of skin to form callus like bumps that are pink or red in color |
