| What is inner range? | The postion where the muscle is completely shortened till it is halfway through its full range. |
| What is outer range? | A position from half way through the midpoint of the inner range to the midpoint of the outer range. |
| What is AF Rom? | Active free, client actively contracts the muscle xing the joint, moving it through unrestricted range. |
| What is AA Rom? | Active assisted, when assistance is required for a client to perform an active motion. |
| What is PR Rom? | Passive relaxed, produced by an external force. Client does not contract the muscles. |
| What is active inhibition stretching? | The client reflexively inhibits (relaxes) the muscle to be lengthened while performing some kind of isotonic or isometric movement. |
| What is passive stretching? | Contractile and non contractile tissues are lengthened while the muscles to be stretched are relaxed. (No contraction of the muscle). |
| What is self stretching? | Active or passive performed by the client themselves. |
