Schedule IV | Accepted for medical use; low potential for abuse; may cause limited physical or psychological dependence compared to schedule III drugs. (Example: meprobamate; chlordiazeposide, diazepam, alprazolam)

Schedule V | Accepted for medical use; low potential for abuse; may cause limited physical or psychological dependence campared to schedule IV drugs (Example: cough medicines containing codeine, diphenoxylate with atropine, kaolin and pectin belladonna.)
