body mass index a method for assesing your body size by taking your height and weight into account

what causes your metabolism to increase or decrease? growth- such as infancy, teen years, or pregnancy high levals of stress over a long period of time sickness increasede activity level
what influences your body image both internal and external internal: how you feel about the way you look often especially your wait extgernal: comments of family and friends and images in the media can affect the way you view your self-concept
how do you develope a positive body image? 1 accept yourself. inherited characteristics are out of your control 2 understand that body shape changes with growth spurts during adolescent years 3 weight can be adjusted with proper nutrition and good physical activity
how do you find your healthy weight range? your healthy range of weight is determind by age, body type,gender, and growth patterns. use the formula to calculate your body mass index
