| Terse | stripped of all but the essentials; concise or succinct, sometimes to the point of rudeness |
| Raconteur | gifted talker or storyteller |
| Euphemism | the use of a "nice" word or phrase instead of an offensive or terrible honest one; the word or phrase so used |
| Vociferous | loudly, persistently vocal; clamorous |
| Equivocal | open to two interpretations, evasive, unclear |
| Succinct | brief, to the point; concise, pithy, terse |
| Hackneyed | banal, overused, commonplace, trite |
| Bombast | high-flown, pompous, "windbag" language |
| Eloquent | extremely expressive (a gesture or words) |
| Loquacious | extremely talkative; gabby, garrulous |
| Articulate | to speak in a clear, effective way |
| Laconic | using as few words as possible; concise |
| Hyperbole | wild exaggeration, often on purpose for effect |
| Lampoon | verbal ridicule of a person; personal satire |
| Platitude | a tired, trite old saying; a banality |
