Polymyalgia Rheumatica Criteria >50yo, bilateral stiffness for 1m involving 2 or more of neck, shoulder, girdles, hip/thighs, ESR >40 excluded other dx
Biopsy for TA 1-3 cm at least 2cm, both sides, including unaffected side
Vasculitis with skip lesions Takayasu’s arteritis
Vasculitis + sinusitis Wegener’s Granulomatosis
Vasculitis w/ Eosinophila >10% Churg-Strauss Syndrome
Palpable purpura <20yo, bowel angina Henoch-schonelin purpura
Common ppl w/ SLE Females, 15-40yo, AA’s/Asians > whites
ANA test if there is a CTD, sensitive but not specific
Ds-DNA test- if a CTD is avtive
ENA test tests for specific CTD’s and their ab’s
Triphasich changes, pallor, cyanosis, rubor (pain) Raynaud’s phenomenon
Reversible joint deformity associated w/ SLE, called Jaccoud’s arthropathy
Parotidits, Xerostomia, xeropthalmia Sjogren’s Syndrome, test w/ Schmer’s test
Heliotrope rash or shawl/V sign with Gottron’s papules on PIP or MCP joints Dermatomyosisis
