Civics and Government

QuestionAnswer
The branch of government, headed by the president, that carries out the nation's laws and policies. Executive Branch
The branch of government that makes the nation's laws. It is a bicameral legislature made up of the Senate and ouse of Representatives. Legislative Branch
The division of the federal government that is made up of the national courts; interprets laws, punishes criminals, and settles disputes between states. Judicial Branch
Form of government in which power is divided between the federal, or national, government and the states. Federalism
