What does the body of a Lumbar vertibrae look like? Large and kidney shaped
What is special about the transverse process of a lumbar vertibrae? Has an accessory process on it, just lateral to the lamina on the posterior side of the TP
What directions does the superior articular process face? Posterior and medial
What is unique about the superior articular facet of the lumbar spine? Has a mamillary process, protrudes posteriorly off the superior articular facet.
Where is the Pars interarticularis? Located between the superior and inferior articular processes of the lumbar vertibrae, the lateral side.
What often occurs at the Pars interarticularis? Spodylolysis, fracture. The collar of the Scotty dog
