What thoracic vertibrae have demifacets, and what are they for? T2-T9 and sometimes 10. THey articulate with the ribs.
How many demifacets per vertibrae and where located? 4, 2 superior and 2 inferior. also known as costal facets. Located bilaterally on the superior and inferior lateral, posterior side of the body of the vertibrae
Thoracic pedicles attach high on the vertibral body preventing what structure from forming? The superior notch. The inferior notch is larger than normal
Transverse costal facet is? Where the ribs articulate with the transverse process of the vertibrae
T1 is unique because? Has full facets and inferior demifacets
T10 is unique because? It can have either full facets or demifacets
T11 and T12 have what type of facets? Full
Thoracic Superior articular facets face? BUL, backwards Upwards, Lateral or Posterior, Superior, Lateral
Superior facets articulate with what? The same number rib
