Gneral spine and vertibrae facts

How many vertibrae are in the spinal column? 33; 7 cervicle, 12 thoracic, 5 lumbar, 5 sacral and 4 coccyx
What is a primary curve? Kyphotic, thoracic and sacral; concave anteriorly
What is a secondary curve? Lordotic, cervicale and luimbar; convex anteriorly
When does cervicle and lumbar lordotic curves begin to form? Cervicle; when the infact strarts to hold up their head. Lumbar; when the cild begins to walk
What is the thick middle part of a vertibrae called? Body
What are peddicles? Feet come off the body posteriorly
What is a lamina? Angle that comes off the pedicles and goes to the spinous process
What is the spinous process? Pointy part coming off the bone posteriorly
Where is the vertibral foramen? Hole in the middle of vertibrae
What is the transverse process? Structure coming off the pedicles laterally
Superior articular process is? Structure goes up from the lamina
Inferior articular process is? Structure coming down from the lamina
Zygopohaseal joint is? Where an inferior and superior articular process meet from two separate vertibrae.
What is an articular pillar? Stack of zygophaseal joints, vertibrae
