What was the Third Estate? Was made up of the people like lawyers and bankers, all the way down to the peasants
What were the Estates? They were the social classes that made up the French Society
Lettres de Cachet (Letters bearing the Royal Seal) Gave the King the ability to put people in jail without charges, bail, or trial
