What is a Liberal? Someone who wants high government involvement in economic issues but low government involvement in social issues.
What is a Conservative? Someone who wants low government involvement in economic issues but high government involvement in social issues.
What is a Libertarian? Someone who wants low government involvement in both social and economic issues.
What is a Populist? Someone who wants high government involvement in both social and economic issues.
How do liberals view affirmative action? They are for it. They want to right the wrongs done in the past to minorities.
How do conservatives view affirmative action? They are against it. They feel that it is reverse discrimination.
How do liberals feel about same sex marriage? They are for it. They believe that sexuality is not a choice and that denying same sex couples the right to marry violates their rights.
How do conservatives feel about same sex marriage? They are against it. They feel that same sex couples will destroy the sanction of marriage, because marriage is between a man and a woman.
How do liberals feel about welfare? They feel that welfare is a good thing. They feel that, in most instances, it is not a person's fault that he or she is unemployed, rather that it is the system's fault.
How do conservativies feel about welfare? They believe that it is people's own fault that they are unemployed and that welfare just encourages laziness.
How do liberals feel about saving the environment? They feel that it is important to go green and make environmentally friendly choices.
How do conservatives feel about saving the environment? They feel that the earth is just going through a cycle and that pollution has nothing to do with the warming of the Earth.
How do liberals feel about taxation? They feel taxes should be based on income, and that the wealthy should have to pay more taxes than the working class.
How do conservatives feel about taxation? They feel that everyone should be taxed equally.
How do liberals feel about religion in school? They feel that religion in school violates the seperation of chruch and state.
How do conservatives feel about religion in school? They feel that religion in school does not violate anyone's rights, as students are not forced to not participate.
How do liberals feel about defense spending? They feel that defense spending should be cut and that the money should be used for other things, such as education and jobs.
How do conservatives feel about defense spending? They feel that we should keep defense spending the same or even increase it.
How do liberals feel about foreign aid? They feel that these are not our wars to fight and that the money could better be spent elsewhere.
How do conservatives feel about foreign aid? They feel that it is our duty to promote democracy and aid our other nations and that we should continue helping other countries.
