platysma neck muscle that moves the lower jaw down.
vastus lateralis thigh muscle that extends the leg.
piriformis muscle in the pelvis.
quadratus any of several muscles that are squared, 4-sided.
supraspinatous shoulder muscles that attaches to the humerus (extensor).
infraspinatus shoulder muscles that attaches to the humerus (extensor).
teres major upper arm muscle (rotator).
teres minor upper arm muscle (rotator).
gemelli muscles in the hip region (superior gemellus & inferior gemellus).
popliteus muscle of the knee.
biceps brachii flexor muscle of the upper arm.
gluteus maximus butt muscle.
biceps femoris thigh muscle.
semitendinous thigh muscle.
semimembranous thigh muscle.
triceps brachii upper arm muscle (extensor).
trapezius muscle shoulder muscle - pulls shoulder blades together, elevates the clavicle, rotates head, moves had back.
tibialis anterior lower leg muscle that bends the foot upward (dorsiflexion).
thenar muscles group of muscles in the hand that moves the thumb.
temporalis muscle on the side of the head - moves the mandible upward and backward.
latissimus dorsi back muscle that moves the arms toward the spinal column.
masseter m. muscle of the face involved in chewing.
orbicularis oris m. muscle around the mouth that closes the lips.
pectoralis major m. chest muscle (extensor).
peroneus longus m. calf muscle that moves the foot.
quadriceps femoris thigh muscle that extends the leg.
rectus femoris thigh muscle - flexes upper leg, extends lower leg.
rectus abdominis major abdominal muscle (flexor).
sternocleidomastoid m. neck muscles that flexes the head toward the sternum.
sartorius m. thigh muscles (flexor).
brachioradialis forearm muscle (flexor).
buccinator muscle in the cheek that produces sucking & moves food toward the tongue.
deltoid triangular muscle of the shoulder (flexor).
extensor digitorum muscle that extends the fingers and toes.
external/internal oblique m. abdominal muscles (flex & rotate).
flexor hallucis brevis m. muscle that flexes the big toe.
frontalis m. muscle in the forehead.
gastrocnemius m. calf muscle that flexes the foot downward.
