what is the function of the digestive system? Name the organs. waste removal, absorbtion and breakdown of consumed nutrients- stomach, teeth, mouth, small and large intestines, colon and anus
Name the organs and functions of the integumentary system. organs: skin, hair and nails. function: warmth, regulation of body temperature
Skeletal system- function and organs function: support, protection, make red blood cells, stores calcium organs:bones, ligamentsw, cartilage
Cardiovascular/Circulatory system- function and organs function: takes carbon dioxide and waste away from cells, brings oxygenated blood organs: hearts, veins, arteries
Muscular System- functions and organs functions: movement (body, nutrients, blood) keep you warm (shivering) organs: tendons, muscle (smooth, skeletal, cardiac)
What are the three types of muscle? Smooth, skeletal, cardiac
Endocrine function and organs f: produce hormones, help maintain homeostatis o: pancreas, adrinal glands, ovaries and testes
Nervous system..function and organs f: recieves and sends info, main control, electoral process o: spinal cord, brain, spine
Reproductive system: function and organs f: to reproduce o: ovaries, uterus, testes, scrotum, penis
Urinary System: function and organs f: removes wast, water, salt and cleans your blood o: bladder, kidneys
Respiratory: functions and organs f: brings air from outside into body (oxygen) and removes CO2 gas exchange o: lungs, mouth, nose, trachea, bronchial
Lymphatic/Immune: functions and organs F:protect the body, collect lost fluid o: white blood cells, lymphnodes
