Integumentary System procedure and surgical terms

| electrodesiccation | destruction of tissue by burning or drying the tissue with an electric spark; primarily used to destroy superficial growths such as warts, but may also be used on deeper tissues |
| Mohs surgery | surgical procedure for malignant skin growths that involves the removal of the visible and root portions of the malignancy in mapped layers |
| rhytidectomy | excision or removal of excess skin for the elimination of wrinkles; also called a face-lift |
