| Division of Powers | Seperation of local and central government power |
| Confederation | Alliance of independent states |
| Presidential Government | Exec and legisl branches are seperate and coequal; president is independently elected |
| Parliamentary Gov't | Executive is made up of prime minister and his/her cabinet; all are members of legislative branch |
